As you move your
mouse around, each parcel of land is highlighted by a color indicating who
owns the parcel. You can use this color-coding to locate neutral land
to invade, to avoid trespassing on land owned by other colonies, to locate
land owned by enemies you are at war with, and to keep track of land that
you own or your allies own. Here is a summary of the color coding
scheme:
COLOR HIGHLIGHTING |
MEANING |
|
Your colony owns
the parcel |
|
The parcel is
neutral and may be invaded by anyone |
|
The parcel is
state-owned and may not be invaded by anyone |
|
The parcel is owned
by another colony and may only be invaded when that colony is logged in |
|
One of your allies
owns the parcel |
|
One of your enemies
that you are at war with owns the parcel. |
COLOR HIGHLIGHTING OF EXPEDITIONS:
Expeditions are color coded in
exactly the same way as parcels. Only the text on the expedition is
colored, not the entire expedition.
OPTIONS FOR HIGHLIGHTING:
If
you click on the GAME SETTINGS button, there are several options available
for how to highlight parcels. You can set it to always highlight all
parcels you own (which is turned on by default). You can set it to
always highlight all parcels owned by other colonies. You can set it
to always highlight the center parcel in your view (which is turned on by
default)
SAFE ZONES:
Some state land is further
designated to be a SAFE ZONE. These areas are primarily located in
towns. Unlike other state land (such as roads, etc.), Safe Zones are
regions of the world where expeditions are protected from attack by other
colonies. The only expeditions that may attack each other while in a
SAFE ZONE are colonies that are at war.
