In order to move
settlers from one parcel to another, you must form an expedition. When you
first start a new colony, you are given 1 expedition with 1 settler in it.
As your colony grows, your expedition may occasionally get killed. As long
as you still have at least 1 settler left on any parcel of land that you own,
you can simply form a new expedition.
In order to form a new
expedition, you must right click on a parcel of land that you own that has at
least 1 settler and choose the FORM EXPEDITION option. You can then choose
how many of the settlers on the parcel you wish to remove from the parcel and
place into the new expedition. There are 2 limitations to forming
expeditions:
1) You cannot form an
expedition on a parcel that cannot be walked on (such as in the water or on top
of a tree)
2) You cannot form an
expedition if your colony has other expeditions and cannot support an additional
one. To determine how many expeditions you currently have and how many you
can have, click on the STATISTICS button
FORMING EXPEDITIONS NEXT
TO A FORT:
If you form an expedition
on any parcel adjacent to a fort you own, the settlers that form the new
expedition will be taken from the pool of new colonists that wish to join your
colony at the fort. If your fort does not have enough colonists that wish
to join your colony, then the settlers will be taken from the actual parcel you
are forming the expedition on instead.
