^{Game Server Is Down
or Unable to Connect}

^{Most of the time when a server is down, we are installing new updates and the server will come back up within 15 minutes.  Be patient and try again shortly.  Also, be sure to check the Scheduled Down Times and Server Issues area for information on extended times when the server will be down.  If you continue to have problems, try selecting "Manually Enter an IP Address" from the pull-down list of servers.  Then enter the IP Address and Port number that you obtain by clicking here.  If you still cannot connect, contact tech support.}

^{Missing DLL}

^{This usually indicates that you need to install DirectX 8.0 or later.  Click here to download it and install it.}

^{Illegal Operation or Game Crashes}

^{One of these things will usually fix the problem:}

^{1) Try switching from FULL SCREEN mode to WINDOW mode, or vice-versa.  Usually, one of these modes works fine.}

^{2) Install the latest driver for your video card

^{Unable to Install Game Update}

^{If you receive this error message, you should download and install the latest version of the game from this web site.  This should fix any problems you are experiencing.}

^{Screen Goes Blank (all white or all black) When I try to Play}

^{This problem is a problem with your video card, settings or driver.  Try the following things:}

^{1) Before starting, click on VIDEO MODE and try starting in a different video mode (full screen or window)}

^{2) Install the latest driver for your video card

^{Text is Missing or Popups are Blank}

^{If you run the game and the popup windows are blank or some of the text is missing or scrambled, there are several likely causes:}

^{1) You need to install the latest driver for your video card
2) You need to install DirectX 8.0 or later
3) Your system needs to be rebooted
4) You are low on memory - Close all other programs and make sure you have at least 64 Megs of RAM.}

^{Game Runs Too Slow}

^{If you are experiencing extremely slow performance when playing the game such as slow movement or slow response to the mouse or keyboard commands, there are several things you can try:}

^{1) Zoom in during game play (Hit Page Up)}

^{2) Use a lower resolution (Hit F4 to switch modes) and fewer colors (16 bit color, 16 million colors is good)}

^{3) Use full screen mode, or try shrinking the size of the window you are running the game in
(Hit Alt-Enter to toggle window/full-screen)
(or Hit VIDEO MODE button before starting play)}

^{4) Verify your internet connection is working properly & running at normal speed.  Verify your web browser is loading web pages at normal speed.  If using a dialup modem, reconnect several times to be sure you have a good connection.}

^{5) Consider purchasing a new video card.  The newer ones are inexpensive and MUCH faster!}
