Are you ready to become a Bounty Hunter? Are you ready to hunt down
deadbeats who fail to pay back their bank loans and bring them to justice?
If so, visit the Bounty Hunter's Desk located at the local Sheriff's Office
in most towns and request a Bounty Hunting contract.
WHEN BOUNTY CONTRACTS
ARE ISSUED:
When a colony borrows
money from any bank located in one of the towns, they are required to make
minimum payments periodically. The bank notifies the colony when a
minimum payment is due. If the colony repeatedly ignores these
requests for a minimum payment, then the bank may choose to issue a Bounty
Contract on the delinquent colony. These Bounty Contracts are offered
to other colonies at the local Sheriff's Office.
HOW TO BECOME A BOUNTY
HUNTER:
To become a Bounty Hunter, visit
the Bounty Hunter's Desk located at the local Sheriff's Office in any town
and click on REQUEST BOUNTY CONTRACT. If any contracts are currently
available, one will be awarded to you
(every Sheriff's Office has different
contracts, so visit a different town if no contracts are available where you
are). The contract will tell
you the Colony that is delinquent and inform you of the number of parcels of
land you must capture from that Colony. The Bounty that you will
receive is shown as well as other useful information and the expiration date
of your contract (3 to 7 days). A Bounty Hunter may not choose a
different contract or cancel the contract they receive, although they may
have up to 3 contracts at one time. If you do not fulfill the terms of
your Bounty Contract within the time period provided, your contract will be
cancelled and issued to a different Bounty Hunter.
CLAIMING LAND FROM THE
DELINQUENT COLONY:
To
fulfill your Bounty Contract, you must invade and capture parcels of land
from the delinquent colony. When you successfully capture a parcel
from that colony, the ownership of the parcel will automatically be
transferred to the bank that issued the Bounty Contract. You will
immediately receive a pro-rated portion of your bounty and the bank will
then place settlers on the parcel. The parcel will appear as neutral
again and is available for future invasions by any colony. The
delinquent colony will have their outstanding debts reduced by 25 gp for
each parcel of land that was claimed by a Bounty Hunter.
WHEN DELINQUENT MAKES
PAYMENT:
If a delinquent colony begins to
make payments on their loan again, the Bank will stop issuing Bounty
Contracts against the colony. The bank may even cancel existing Bounty
Contracts that have already been issued.
